La Mandria Regional Park was one of King Vittorio Emanuele II’s game reserves in XIX Century. It’s just a few kilometres from Turin, so it is a real privilege to observe birds of prey, Black Storks, Cranes, Great Egrets, Curlew, Osprey, European Pond Turtles, Grey Herons’ heronry, Tufted Duck and many more species so close to such a big city. Being a former game reserve, this estate hosts many mammals like Deers, Does and Wild Boars, but also Badgers and Foxes.
